Freshman Katelyn Stokes' high school tennis career has just begun, but the buzz she has created is deafening. She has won her first four matches with a power game that you wouldn't think a 14 year old could possess. Though only a freshman she is far more experienced in big matches then are most of her opponents. She has been active in tennis for six years and is a part of Sport Fit Bowie's Ace Tennis Academy, one of Maryland's best prep tennis instruction programs. While a future as a professional tennis player may ultimately draw her away from the high school game she is still just focusing on using it to get an education, 'I just want to get noticed by colleges," Stokes said.
