Academic highlights: Sydney has a 3.732 grade-point average and has had cum laude status throughout high school.
Athletic highlights: Sydney won Most Improved in outdoor track in 2005. She was captain and MVP of cross country as well as one of the captains of outdoor track during her sophomore year. Sydney won the Shackley Award, an award of diligence, her sophomore year.
Where do you see your academic future? I plan on attending college, although the place is undecided. I will focus on food and nutritional sciences and maybe become a physical therapist.
Where do you see your athletic future? I hope to run in college, so I am hoping the opportunity arises. But even if it doesn't, I will always run.
Favorite subject: My favorite subject is French. I love to learn about the culture and Mrs. Parnell is the best. Who has been a major positive influence on you? My best friend, Zoya, has been a great influence in my life because she has overcome so much and she always perseveres.
What's on your iPod? I have a little bit of everything ... some Fray, 50 cent, Hinder and a whole lot more. What is your favorite sports memory? My favorite athletic memory is qualifying for cross country state my sophomore year with one of my good friends, Kelly. We had so much fun and we both were so excited to be there.
Other interests: I love to run and swim. I also love to hang out with my friends and swim. I also enjoy my job, teaching swim lessons.
