Nicholas Martin is a four year letter winner at Ketchikan High School in Alaska. He is a 2009 graduate that is looking to pursue a degree in Business Management.
On the mat is where Nicholas feels most comfortable! Last December he won the 4A Alaska state championships. Going 33-0 wasn’t an easy task as mentioned in the Ketchikan Daily News, “Working in the summer, he would find time to train whenever he could — practice in the morning before work, or in the evening after work; lifting weights and hitting the mat.” His motivating factor “I hated (losing),” Martin said.” I’m sure everybody doesn’t like it, but I really didn’t like it all.”
Several universities have expressed interest in Martin, including Morehead State, North Idaho University and Pacific.
With his busy schedule in school and on the mat he is a letter winner in baseball and football for his High School. NCSA wishes Nicholas Martin the best of luck this year and look forward to helping him choose the right athletic and academic fit.
