Luke Goettl is a two year letter winner at Mingus Union High School in Arizona. He is a 2010 graduate that carries a 3.6 / 4.0 GPA in the classroom and is on the Honor Roll. With his busy schedule in school, he always finds time for the mat.
Luke’s freshman year in high school he won the state championship at the 112# weight class and in his sophomore year he won the 125# class. Most recently, Luke earned the title of Junior National Greco-Roman Champion. He is a very accomplished athlete that wants to find a school that challenges him on and off the mat.
His dedication to wrestling and academics is summed up in his personal statement:
“I am in the graduating class of 2010 at Mingus Union High School. I have wrestled since I was 7 years old and I aspire to wrestle in college and beyond. I'm a student who carries a 3.6 GPA and want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom along with on the mat. I'm looking to find the absolute best fit for me, and am open to all options and opinions.”
