Christopher Divarco is a 6’3”, 210 pound first baseman from the Chicagoland area. He was a Sophomore Team starter and batted .496 (36 for 74) in 2008. Over the summer, Chris played for two summer teams, the Lake County Lighting and the Top Tier Elite travel team. On those teams he batted .430 with 4 home runs and .410 with 2 home runs, respectively.
Academically, Christopher is maintaining a 3.0 GPA and a 3.1 weighted GPA while taking honors classes in English Literature, Algebra, Biology and others. Divarco has been very active in the community logging forty hours each school year in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. A few of the activities he has participated in include working with handicapped kids at the equestrian center, with the Special Olympics basketball tournament, and helping elementary children with their homework. Chris is interested in studying engineering, law, or business administration in college. We are exited to name Christopher Divarco our NCSA January Impact Athlete of the Month.
