Jamie Tiede is one 2008 grad who’s recruiting process had a happy ending. Jamie recently accepted an academic scholarship to the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
This 5’7”, 155 # forward from Sioux Falls South Dakota always aspired to attend a college in the Midwest with a Division III women’s ice hockey program. Due to her location in South Dakota, Jamie was forced to play hockey with the boys for most of her career. Last season Jamie earned the captaincy for the Sioux Falls Flyers. She was also named 1st Team All-State in 2006 and 2007.
Jamie knew doors would open if she maintained her high marks in the classroom. She maintains a 3.88/4.0 GPA and scored a 25 on the ACT. Jamie’s hard work and dedication on and off the ice have earned her the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level. Everyone at NCSA is excited to hear about her future success.
