Joseph Van Buskirk
La Costa Canyon High School
Cardiff, CA
When it comes to the game of recruiting as it is related to men’s lacrosse—it is important to know that student-athletes are committing earlier and earlier each year. Just ask Joseph Van Buskirk, a 2009 grad from Cardiff, California.
Joseph was able to make his decision early because he did all the hard work early. Joseph originally stated, “I want to go to a small college (2000-6000) near a big city. I'd like to play the highest level of lacrosse where I can really make a contribution to my team.”
This is exactly what Joseph has done, by committing himself to play at Lynchburg College.
Joseph is prepared to play at the next level since his La Costa Canyon High School team was a top 100 ranked team in the United States. Joseph had 18 goals in his 2008 high school season as the team’s attackman and midfielder. We expect more greatness from him as he wraps up his senior year.
