The whole recruiting process was new to me. With NCSA's help I felt that I was being guided the whole way. I got lots of interest from coaches once I put myself out there with my NCSA player profile. The NCSA was great, they taught me how to properly contact and talk to coaches.
I knew I had to put effort into this process everyday. At times it was hard to continue contacting coaches when I felt they had no interest in me. I realized that I wasn't the only player contacting these coaches and that they were busy people too. However, I knew I had to continue to be positive and seek out all the options that were out there for me. The best part of the recruiting process was learning how to communicate better not only with coaches but with other people. I became more confident with my communication skills and I believe that coaches noticed how good of a communicator I was. NCSA really brought me out of my shell and gave me the little push I needed to be more confident. I asked questions on how to ask questions and they were able to help me with how to approach the situation. They were able to enlighten me on what was happening on the coaches’ side and at the same time gave me advice so that the coach would want to continue to recruit me.
NCSA was able to find the schools that fit my needs academically and athletically. They were able to give me the steps that have brought me success.
I suggest that you start early and always put your best effort on the court, in the classroom and in the recruiting process. Only the best can come out of your work with NCSA.
