The recruiting process required a lot of work. There were many contributing factors that led to my successful recruiting process. Initially, my NCSA scouting profile report was created which contained my academic achievements along with my athletic achievements. Throughout my junior and senior seasons we gathered game film in order to create my NCSA streaming video. Once NCSA sent my scouting report along with streaming video to colleges, we started to receive an unbelievable amount of contacts from coaches ranging from DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA. With the help of the NCSA recruiting newsletters we were able to put together a quality recruiting book that contained all of the letters and emails received from college coaches. The NCSA correspondence logs also helped me keep track of contacts and my recruiting coaches always provided me with some quality feedback and information. In all we established contacts with more than 50 schools, and I applied and was accepted to more than 10 colleges. I was offered several athletic scholarships and academic scholarships throughout my recruiting process.
The most rewarding part of the recruiting process was being invited to several colleges for official visits due to the hard work that I put in both on the basketball court and in the classroom. Without the help of the NCSA staff I would not have had the opportunity to achieve two of my main goals, being accepted into college along with the opportunity to play the sport I love.
