NCSA impacted my recruiting by getting my name out there. Also, the coaches that contacted me said they looked at me because of NCSA's reputation for talent and how good they are at getting kids recruited. NCSA helps kids a lot. When you think about how many talented high school kids are out there, having the NCSA to match you with college coaches and to give you more opportunities was pretty amazing. If it wasn’t for the NCSA I would not have been able to play football in college and that wasn’t something I wanted to lose.
The advice I would give to athletes going through the process is stick with it. It works, even though at times it may not seem like it. Make sure you keep your NCSA profile updated and make sure you have all your grades up. Colleges that may be interested in you for sports will not contact you if your grades are low. Work hard on and off the field and the NCSA can work for you just as it did me. Finally, have fun with it, it is enjoyable once the calls start coming in and they will if you are good enough. I remember how excited I was when those calls came. They not only thought I was good enough, but many of coaches wanted me to play for them because they believed I would have an impact on their program. It is a great honor to have this opportunity and I thank the NCSA for making it happen.
