Working with NCSA has helped me so much. Without NCSA I would not be where I am now in the recruiting process. NCSA exposed me to so many great schools, many of which I did not even know existed. It was great to look at all the different schools in order to make the best possible choice for myself. I recently decided to attend Lake Forest College to play softball. I had never even heard of Lake Forest College before I got a contacted by Coach Kinsella because of NCSA. Getting contacted by coaches was probably one of the most exciting times during the recruiting process. I actually had coaches looking at me and wanted me on their team.
The most challenging part of the recruiting process was letting coaches know that I had chosen to go somewhere else. All the coaches that I had worked with were so great to me, and it was hard to tell them that I had decided another program was the best fit for me. In the end I know I made the right choice, but it was a long, hard journey to get where I am.
If I had to give advice to an incoming student-athlete it would be to never give up. A few years ago I could have never imagined playing college softball. I did not even know where to start and now I have decided on a school that I believe is my perfect fit.
