Jeffrey Cox, a 6’1” senior from Alpharetta, GA has finished his college search by signing with the University of Denver this past week. Jeffrey swims the 100 Fly (:50.60), 200 IM (1:54.69), 50 Free (:21.72), 100 Free (:46.77). He also is a member of the Swim Atlanta Club.
Some of Jeffrey’s high school honors include: 1st Team All-State 200 IM (1:54.69) and All-American consideration in the 200 IM in 2008. In 2007 he was All-American in the 100 fly. Jeffrey was also All-State (100 Fly and 4 relay teams) throughout his high school career.
Jeffrey took four official visits this fall to William & Mary, University of Washington, Georgia Tech, as well as the University of Denver. He enjoyed all his visits to each of the schools and felt comfortable at each place. It was a hard decision to make but one of the factors was that his family had lived in the Denver area in the past and he felt very comfortable with the coaching staff there.
Jeffrey has an 87.6 GPA with honors and AP classes. He will be studying in the field of international relations.
We at NCSA wish him the best as a future swimmer for the University of Denver.
