Shelby Friel, a 5’9” senior from Weston, Massachusetts has found the right fit in Trinity College (Connecticut) and this fall she will compete on their swim team.
After Shelby visited Trinity during October she said “I spent an overnight with the swim team and loved it! Everyone on the team and at the school was super nice and I felt like I belonged. I would be honored to swim in the NESCAC. If I am accepted here, I will definitely go!”
Shelby excels in the 100Y Fly (1:01.36), 50Y Free (26.22), 200Y Free (2:02.46), 100Y Free (58.80). She has been a 2x state qualifier for her high school.
Boasting a 3.4 GPA in the classroom with a 1200 on the SAT (2-part) test afforded her some great college options. She took both honors and AP classes throughout high school.
We know Shelby will do well for the Bantam’s next season and we at NCSA wish her the best.
