Anthony Genova

Anthony is a two year letter winner at Grand Island High School in Grand Island, New York. He is a 2010 graduate looking to pursue sports medicine and/or physical therapy as a major in college. While balancing school work, Anthony also volunteers as a Pop Warner Assistant coach. With his busy schedule he always finds time for the mat.
In 2008, Anthony was 4th at Brute Empire Nationals and voted 3rd team All-Sectional as a sophomore. Anthony also wrestles for USA Wrestling where he qualified for Team New York. His dedication to wrestling is summed up in his personal statement:
“I am starting my Junior Year (2010 Graduation) and I am interested in continuing my education and wrestling career at the next level. I am interested in a physical therapy, sports medicine or an international business degree. My work ethic both on the mat and in the classroom would be an asset to any school. This year I have given up playing football for the high school to work on wrestling for the whole year and plan to attend major tournaments across the country throughout the year.”
