Personal Statement
Growing up in a single parent household has taught me that no matter what the situation, things always look different in the light of day, whether good or bad, depending on your attitude. Attitude is everything and says a lot about a person. A positive attitude, not only encourages you to push forward, but also encourages others to do the same.
I am the type of person who likes to help people, encourage people, and push others to do better. I also push myself to be better than I was the day before. I do not expect thing from others that I would not expect from myself.
I began playing softball when I was 7 years old and the first time I stepped onto that diamond, I knew that was where I wanted to be. I live and breath for my family and to play softball. I am always looking for ways to improve my skills while maintaining my GPA. I study as hard as I play and one day hope to go into Sports Medicine.
I enjoy teaching younger girls the fundamentals of softball with hopes that they will experience the joy of the game as much as I have and continue to have. No matter where my path takes me, I will continue to improve athletically and academically.
