Makenzie Terry '16 Recruiting Profile

I will be graduating in the spring of 2016 from Prairie Grove High School located in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. I began playing softball at the age of 7 years old in our local summer ball program. In the last few years, I have begun to push myself further by playing ASA/USSSA tournament ball.  I have experience playing left and center field and 2nd base. These experiences, along with playing summer and fall ball, fed my dream to play at a higher level.  In my freshman year, I received a varsity jersey. While I did not perform on the field a lot my freshman year, I put in extra time with my private batting coach all year long so that in the coming year my coach would have no choice but to play me. My hard work paid off because I started every varsity game my sophomore year in left field and hit in the 5th or 6th hole. My sophomore year finished with the achievement of All Conference. Completing my education is every bit as important to me as softball. I push myself every day to achieve my goals both inside and outside of the classroom. My goal is to find a college which will allow me to excel in my academics and on the field.
