Katie Midkiff '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Katie Midkiff. I am currently a Senior at Baptist Prep in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old. Softball has always been my passion. My primary position is pitcher but I am also a very strong utility player. I have learned a lot from this sport that includes: getting back up when you fall, patience, love for the game, you have to work hard, have a good attitude, how to work under pressure, and sportsmanship. 

I have played volleyball the past 4 years and have learned how to use those skills to help my softball skills. Volleyball has taught me many skills like sportsmanship, coordination, teamwork , communication, and mental, physical, and emotional skills. Learning from those have made me a better softball player. 

Academics always come first. I have a 3.7 GPA. I hope to get accepted and pursue my dream of playing softball at the collegiate level.
