Robyn Porter '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 2014 graduate from Tucson, AZ. I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old and I have always wanted to play at the collegiate level. As a freshman, I originally started out in left field but eventually moved to catcher when I was needed there. Later that year, i caught in the championship game where we lost 4-3. I started as a sophomore but this time at first base and we made it all the way to the semi-finals where we lost 9-8. This past year, as a Junior, I caught all but 2 innings throughout the entire season where we placed second in the state yet again. I carry a cumulative GPA of 3.67 and I am in honors science, AP English and I am in one math class above my grade. I want to find a college that will help me learn to excel in academics and athletics, and lay a solid foundation for the rest of my life. Money is important to me because my brother does not play sports and my family already has to pay for his education. Lastly, I would love to find a school that is close to home with an excelling athletic training program and preferably a decent sized school.
