Personal Statement

Growing up in a student-athlete environment, I was influenced by my Parents, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles who attended university and competed at all levels of sport including D1 NCAA and professionally. Maintaining strong grades while balancing training, practices, games and travel is part of my DNA.

My academic grades and awards were earned through hard work and determination, something I take a lot of pride in. I plan on continuing my education with the goal of becoming a doctor. I’ve always had a passion to help people, something I learned during a Mexico youth mission trip in 2016.

My commitment to Softball exists beyond the field, in the weight room, the cage and watching video. It has taught me to be goal oriented and I can always improve. I’ve learned I can achieve anything that I set my mind too and to never give up, even in the face of adversity. I believe in team success above individual success. As a player, I strive to be a good teammate, a leader who is coachable, always willing to improve and lead by example.

  • 2019 Eastern Arizona College (JC) (NJCAA Div 1)
  • FRESHMAN SEASON - Team Rank 1st in SLG% and Doubles, 2nd in Batting AVE, RBI, Home Runs and Stolen Bases, 3rd in OBP, Hits and Runs
  • 2018 WhiteRock Renegades 2000 (Club)
  • 2017 White Rock Renegades 2000 (Club)
  • I was excited to be voted team captain for the 2017 season. Our U18 club team competed in ASA sanctioned tournaments Seattle Sidewinders (April 29-30), Oregon Valley Invite (June 16-18), Oklahoma Triple Crown OKC (June 2-5). We finished the season with a record of 58-26-3 competing as a true Junior team (born 2000) against Senior aged competition (born 1998/1999). Nationally, our team made it all the way to the Canadian Championships Final game, losing a close game 5-2 and earning a Silver medal.
  • 2016 Delta Softball Academy (High School Academy )
  • Currently a HS Junior, I was accepted and transferred into the Delta Softball HS Academy at Seaquam Secondary, coached by current Canadian Women’s National players, Sara Hopwood-Riske, Larissa Franklin and former Team Canada coach Ron Clarke. Coach Ron brings over 20 years’ International Women’s Softball coaching experience, including National Team head coach for the 1997 World Championships, 1999 Pan-American Games and 2000 Sydney Olympics. Since there is limited high school level competition in Canada, this team was made to travel across the line to compete against US programs during the Club offseason.
  • 2016 WhiteRock Renegades 2000A (Club)
  • In the summer of 2016, our home field hosted the WBSC XV Women's World Softball Championship. My mother was a member of the tournament Executive committee and I got the chance to volunteer and watch Team USA, Japan and Canada finish Gold, Silver and Bronze. That summer, my team played in Canadian National Championship Final winning silver. In the elimination rounds, I hit .400 with 5 RBI’s, in the Quarter final, Semi and Championship games.
  • 2015 White Rock Renegades 2000 (Club)
  • My team plays at the highest “A” level in Canada. As 1st year bantoms we played over 60% of our games against older teams (1999 and older), including against the White Rock Renegades 99 who were National Champions. This year my team also attended multiple tournaments in the US including Sidewinders, Oregon, and the Fireworks tournament in Denver. In these games across the line I had a batting average of .422, an on base percentage of .490, and a slugging percentage of .533.
  • 2014 WhiteRock Renegades 2000A (Club )
  • This season my team finished the year with a record of 71 wins, 11 losses (.807 winning percentage). We also went undefeated in the Provincial Championships and went on to win Silver in the National Finals.
