Personal Statement
This is Agnes Jang, a current Junior at Cupertino High School in Cupertino, California. I am a self-driven student athlete and currently playing Varsity softball in the spring, and competitive club team for the rest of the year.
Team sports had not been just a sport (or hobby) but rather a commitment and responsibility to me and my family. In the process of balancing both academic & athletic activities, I have encountered lots of ups and downs. Those experiences had never knocked me down, instead, I've learned more about how to use my time and resources effectively and smartly to achieve the goals.
Junior year is a very critical and challenging year to me. In addition to taking the college prep courses (APs & Honors) and staying with tight travel ball schedules, extra efforts are required for me to prepare for both SAT and ACT tests. Each semester, I am also actively participating an extracurricular science project (Zero Robotics for 2014 Fall) as a project leader. Though being fully occupied, I believe the time and efforts spent shall prepare me to meet the requirements, both academic and athletic, set by the college coaches.
I am always determined to pursue any opportunity to continue playing softball at collegiate level so I can keep learning and sharing the experiences with my future collegiate team. Thanks for your precious time reading my profile. Hope to talk to you or meet you in person in the very near future.
