Melina Anguiano '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been enjoying softball since the age of 5 and pitching since I was 7.  I am a hardworking student athlete who is always working to improve my skills on the field and excel in the classroom.  I compete in Travel Ball with Central California Dirt Dogs 18U Gold  Heffley - Lee.  The past 3 years, my Travel Team has qualified and competed in PGF Nationals, Premier Level, in 2018 we placed 3rd and in 2016 we placed in the top 30 of 64 teams in the Nation.   As a Freshman & Sophomore and Senior at Bullard High School in Fresno, CA, I was  Varsity Starting Pitcher and led my team to league championship, received awards of Freshman of the Year,  Freshman and Sophomore year -Scholar Athlete and 1st Team CMAC player.  Junior and Senior year I also competed on my High School Varsity Golf Team. Currently a Senior at Bullard High School, Fresno, CA, with a 4.0 GPA  I am looking forward to the Senior season with my team.  I am a volunteer for the Bullard Youth Softball League assisting youth pitching and skills camps. I am a Northwest Church Youth Leader, St. Anthony's Life-teen Member and Community Volunteer,  a member of the Best Buddies Program assisting students with special needs, a member of CSF and leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I am dedicated to my studies, sport and future pursuits of being a college athlete while obtaining my degree from a CSU or UC campus or Private College.
