Personal Statement

My name is Amanda Guillen and I am currently a senior at La Puente High School. To tell you a little about myself; I have been playing softball for about 13 years now and counting and do wish to play at the college level. I play center field, short stop and catcher. I am a starter in center field for my current travel ball team; Case Batbusters Jimenez 18u. I currently have a 3.35 GPA and have retaken my SAT’s on October 11th to improve my score from the last test taken. One struggle I would say I face that pertains to school is that I do struggle a bit with math, but to retain myself from failing I do attending tutoring two to three times a week for two hours with a college program that I am in called Upward Bond and I have been a part of this program since my freshmen year. I also wanted to inform you that I also have been selected to be published in a book called “The best players in USSSA fast pitch softball” 2014 edition.
