Kaitlyn Elzie '16 Recruiting Profile

First and for most, thank you for taking the time to view my profile.I'm a 5'4" Natural Lefty,Speedy Slapper and an Out Fielder / Catcher with a great arm from Los Angeles, California. This is my Senior year in High School and I've lettered all 4 years. I got a late start on my recruiting after my sophomore year and I'm looking for a school who feels they can use my skills and talent to help their team. Recently this summer I've moved up from Cal A's 16u to playing with Cal A's 18u with Head Coach Terry Paredez . The team is based out of Fullerton,CA. and my jersey number is 83 and starting OF. I want to travel out of California for college but would still love the opportunity to attend a college in-state. I'm looking at schools who offer a BS in Biology with a focus on Zoology as a major cause I love animals and I want to work with them when I graduate. Also I want to minor Finance,  I love that side of business.  This past High school season(2015) I made 1st Team All League and 1st team All City as the starting Catcher and led the Coliseum league in steals. Last season in the Coliseum League division II we made it to the 3 round of the CIF Playoffs for the Los Angeles Section. The 2014 season I made 2nd Team All League as well as 2nd team All City as a Utility player. This up coming year at my school(Crenshaw High) I'm returning to the OF & Utility position to help my team where ever I'm needed while working towards remaining a triple threat(Slapping,Swinging for Power and Bunting) at the plate. I'm aggressive on the bases and my speed allows me to create great scoring opportunities for a team. I also participate on my schools Varsity Volleyball team the past two years. Maintaining my grades above the 3.0 mark is most important as my play on the field. I'm a team first type of player, knowing that it takes the team to win and not one individual, everyone has a role to play on the team.. I want to work towards becoming an All-American athlete in college. I look forward to hearing from those who feel I can be an asset to their school and team.
