Jaciana Vasquez '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jaciana Vasquez and I am a Junior at Sheldon High School in Sacramento, California.  I have been playing softball since I was four years old. I fell in love with the game from the first moment I stepped on the field. Ever since I started travel softball when I was 8, I’ve wanted to play college softball. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.

I am a very competitive softball player and am always working hard to improve my skills. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. When deciding a college for me, I’m not set on a division, I want to go where I can share my love for the game.

My goal is to play college softball at a very competitive level while pursuing my college education.  I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the softball field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
