Hello!
My name is Carmel Gisslow. I believe the best softball players are made up of a mix of effort, attitude, skill, and grit. Softball is as tough a mental game as it is physical.
I pride myself in my control of the controllables: effort and attitude. This means calling out the play, every play. This means cheering my teammates on, never getting down on myself, staying positive, having a plan before each pitch. This also means putting in the extra work. I put all I have into every single game and remain positive and composed while doing it.
I understand how different coaches all seek players of a wide range of caliber. I strive to be the best. I plan on playing for a competitive team whose players all care about softball as much as I do. Academics are really important. I'm a student before athlete and I want to attend college where I'm pushed on the field as well as in the classroom. I don't have a field of interest yet but I want to explore my options. I know you get out what you put in, that's why work ethic is so important to me. I aspire to earn a degree while playing the sport I love to the best of my abilities.

Ball Exit Speed measured by radar gun. Speed measured by 20-yard sprint using timing eye. Agility measured by shuttle run using timing eye. Muscular Strength measured by the grip strength dynamometer; and Non-Measurable Skills: These skills are fielding and throwing from the primary/secondary position and hitting. Each athlete will get 10-14 swings off a pitching machine set at 57-59 MPH.
