Natalie Minteer '18 Recruiting Profile

I am 5’8” and a left-handed pitcher from San Diego, CA.  I will graduate with the 2018 class.  I have grown up playing softball and have been pitching since I was seven years old.  I have been the main starting pitcher for University City High School since my freshman year.  I have been my teams MVP Sophomore and Junior year.  This year I was voted Pitcher of the Year and first team all-league for Eastern League.  I am a team player both on and off the field and I feel at home in the circle.  I am known for my calm command of the game no matter what the situation.  I love to win and there’s nothing better than beating a tough batter.

I have played travel ball since I was 11 but wasn’t always sure I wanted to play college ball.  I took an extended break after my freshman year.  I really missed the game and it confirmed for me that I wanted to take my game to the next level.  I love to travel and see new places and I am looking for a college where I can grow and stretch my wings.  I would prefer East or West Coast, but I am open to other locations if the school and program are a good fit.  Ideally, I would like to be on a team where I can be a contributor early on in my college career.  I am undecided about my major but I am leaning towards Psychology or Kinesiology.  I am interested in sports physical therapy.
