Personal Statement
My name is Zela Chahbazian and to me softball is far more than three outs, seven innings, two teams, and an umpire. A few of my personal goals revolve around giving 100% of my work ethic on and off the field, showing perseverance to lead my team through both good and bad times, and to make an impact on other people.
As an athlete, it is important to instill a sense of confidence within myself in order to gain the best experience possible. I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old and since then I have faced many difficult challenges. I have proven to others and also myself that this game is a way of life that teaches one the difficulty of a loss and the joy of a win or the harshness of practice and the bond of teammates.
I plan to pursue a career in Law while also strive to fulfill the act of giving in hopes to help another human being in the process. I do my best to lay everything I have on the field and also in the classroom. My dream is to go to a college where I can achieve both my academic and athletic goals of continuing my softball career at the collegiate level.
