Personal Statement

I am a 2015 graduate from Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado where I am currently a captain on the varsity softball team. I enjoy challenging myself with AP and honors classes and I stay very busy with extracurricular clubs.

My goal is to play competitive ball at the college level while I get a good education. I would also like the opportunity to be involved in research, international travel and to give back to my community. I want to build a strong foundation so I can move on to a top masters program in sports psychology.

My dream is to become a sports psychologist and work with athletes to help them fully realize their potential. I think it is interesting how much the mental aspect of the game influences performance and I would like to learn more about it. I would also like to travel and work with a variety of people. Eventually my goal is to become a softball coach myself and give back to the sport I love so much!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
