"COLORADO GATORADE PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2013-14"
MaxPreps NFCA Player of the Week (Week 08/25-08/31/14)
2013 High School season, Continental (5A) League player of the year. Colorado Community Media's South Metro Pitcher of the year. Lead the state in strikeouts and ERA, batted .442 with 4 home runs. Finished the season placing 3rd in state.
PGF National Tournament, Huntington Beach, CA, August 2013
My team, the Colorado Styxx, just finished the Premier Girls Fastpitch 18U National Championship where we finished in 3rd place. I pitched 40 innings with a .17 ERA (1st) and letting up just 1 earned run and 36 strikeouts(2nd)!
I began playing softball when I was 7 years old. I've always enjoyed the joys and tribulations of pitching. I believe the ability to handle the stress and responsibility of pitching will help me at the next level of college ball and in the professional working world. I would like to play Division 1 softball because I enjoy competing at the highest level, however I am open to finding the best college and program that fits my academic and athletic abilities and goals.
Ponderisa H.S. Coach Toby Tabola:
“Ally Power is a first class kid. She is an honest, sincere, humble, and unselfish young lady. Ally is not only one of the best pitchers in the state, but an all around player as well. She can hit, play infield or outfield, and has a cannon of an arm. I asked a lot of Ally her freshman year and she responded beautifully. She started on varsity and played a variety of positions. She stepped up in pressure situations and showed maturity beyond her years. I am looking forward to watching her develop as a player and team leader. Her work ethic and positive attitude should lead her to the next level in the game of fastpitch.” . Ponderosa H.S. coach, Toby Tabola 303-387-4054
DC Jets Coach Steve Von Strohe:
“Ally Power is an extraordinary athlete that plays with heart all the time. I have been coaching completive softball for 16 years, and I haven't had a girl like Ally that steps up when the pressure gets the greatest. On the mound or at the plate, Ally always give you 110% no matter what the score is. If you had 9 players like her, you might not win every game but you would be in all games and no one would give up. I would recommend Ally to any College program and stake my reputation on her.” DC Jets coach, Steve VonStrohe 303-601-9373
