Ramsey Kilgore '19 Recruiting Profile

    Since a young age,  I have never done anything half way. Whether it is athletically, socially,  or academically, I'm all in.  I believe this specifically has set me up to go far in whatever I choose to pursue. 

    I became interested in softball at a young elementary age, and quickly became competitive. I was excited to take this and run with it through high school and into college.  Through softball, I have seen my natural leadership side come out. I believe that through the work on and off the field, leadership has become my way of handling certain situations when most would be uncomfortable.  Specifically on the field, as a catcher, my leadership has been more important than anything making sure I'm able to run the field and make sure everyone is where they need to be. 

    Leadership has helped me specifically with goal setting for myself and my team.  Building my team socially and athletically helps us play as a strong unit.  This specific quality has helped me, and will continue to, on and off the field day after day. In addition to my athletic abilities and goals, I also work hard in the classroom. My current GPA is 3.8 (unweighted) and for the future I will continue to achieve this, if not increase it.  I am interested in studying biology and psychology.   I have always been able to juggle a busy schedule my whole life so taking on the new challenge of being a collegiate athlete sounds like an exciting new challenge to take on.
