When Rebecca came to us as a freshman she was one of the most polished and poised players I have ever coached. It is very rare in our program to have freshman start at the varsity level let alone be the best the player on the team. When the game is on the line there is no player that I would rather have to come up with the big hit, make the game saving play, or make the correct decision on the base path. In both her freshman and sophomore year she got the game winning hits against two of our rival schools during league play. Rebecca is one of those players that we as coaches are excited to have in their program. She has an amazing work ethic and is one of those players that would run through a brick wall if you asked her.
"Play with heart" is what I live by. Ever since I started playing softball at the age of 7, I have fallen in love with this game. Having a big heart for the game means having a strong work ethic. I have trained before every softball season since 12U. This summer, I worked out Monday through Thursday for one hour with my trainer at 6am, getting quicker and stronger with every session.
Training with one of the varsity football coaches this summer, pushed me to my best. After training this summer, I was invited to the USA Elite Select 30 All American Camp in Tuscaloosa, AL. There, I competed to be on their All American Select 30 team. I made it. Not only did I make the USA Elite Select 30, but I made 1st team All-American. They only chose 15 girls to be 1st Team All Americans. Overall they chose 3 outfielders, I was one of them. I got to compete with girls who are committed to the University Alabama, University of Florida, Auburn, and many other schools. This is evident that I have the confidence and talent to compete at the next level.
I am a leader on and off the field. This year I applied for Student Leadership, a class in which only about 40 students out of the whole school get in. I made Student Leadership. With that, I take my school work very seriously; I treat my GPA like it's a batting average. Freshman year, I lettered in academics.
Again, I love this game and everything that comes with it. I would very much appreciate the opportunity to discuss your school and program.
Thank you for your time.
Rebecca.
