Personal Statement
My name is Katie Jaroneczyk and I wish to pursue something within the field of Criminal Justice. Softball for me began as something I did to prove that I could be athletic because I was told that I wouldn't be capable. Although I began playing the sport in spite of everyone to prove them wrong, it became a life long passion. I continually pushed myself to be better, taking something from every coach that I have ever worked with whether it had to do with the mental game or the physical game.
By working with the many people, I have become a utility player capable of playing a multitude of positions. I strive to know the game inside and out by using both my mental and physical abilities to excel within the sport, always striving to push myself farther and harder each moment I step on the field.
As a high honors student, I not only take pride in my performance on the field, but also within the classroom. Personally, school will always come first because if I can not succeed in the classroom, then I'll be bound to failure on the field. School is a number one priority because it will help me with my future endeavors within the Criminal Justice field.
