I am a senior at Marianapolis Preparatory School in Thompson, CT where I maintain a 3.26 career GPA (unadjusted). I have made Honor Roll or Dean’s List for every grading period since freshman year. During my sophomore year, I took 2 honors math classes, junior year I enrolled in 3 honors and one AP course, and as a senior I will take AP Physics. I am an active participant in our school’s Community Service Club where I was the Secretary during my junior year and will serve as President of the Community Service Council for the 2015-16 school year. I was also elected as a Peer Leader in the upcoming year. In addition to my academic achievements, I earned a spot on the Varsity Softball team as the starting centerfielder both freshman and sophomore years. This year I was a utility player starting either in the outfield or second base. Freshman year, I was awarded “Rookie of the Year” by the coaching staff. In addition to Marianapolis, I played on a local ASA tournament team, Charlton Wildfire for over 7 years. Our team won the U14 Little League State Title in 2012 and the U16 Little League State Title in 2014. This year, I joined the New England Nightmares coached by my hitting instructor with whom I’ve worked for the past 4 years.
I would love to play collegiate softball for a school that supports both my academic and athletic goals. I am looking for an environment where teachers and students can interact on a personal level, in and outside of the classroom. I hope to find a school where I can become involved in student life through service and leadership. In addition, I’m hoping to find a close-knit team where every player is committed to contributing some way towards the team’s goals. Most importantly, I am committed to my academic performance and hope to spend my college years surrounded by those who share similar passions. My high school accomplishments have lead me down the path to succeed in college, both on and off the field.
