Personal Statement
As a student athlete I have many goals. My main goal is to go to a college I will love, play softball for that school, and take courses that will help prepare me for my career as a neurological surgeon. I believe I am a good candidate for your team because I am very passionate about softball. When I am passionate about something I will do everything I have to do to strive and excel. I am very different from other recruits because I believe that if your going to put your time and effort into something, give it your all or don't even bother trying. As far as my athletic abilities, I believe that I am a team player. It takes a team to win championships. To me a softball team is a sisterhood, we stand together as one and, if we see defeat we come together and improve. Playing the infield has always been a great passion of mine. I love 1st base. When I'm in my zone on the field that is all I breath. Also I'm a fast learner, if there is something you can show me I'm willing to watch to learn and improve my abilities. Academics has always been on my side. When I was in the 2nd grade, I was ahead of my peers. The state of Florida decided to give me a test to see my academic level. When the results came back, they stated that I had scored 98 out of 100. An almost perfect score. 2 points shy from being a genius. Also in 7th grade I took the ACT and scored a 21. With this score I was able to attend the Duke Tip program. I went to Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina and took an Economic Debating course. That's my academic history. As far as right now, all of my classes are honors, advanced placement, and I'm taking 11th grade math in the 10th grade. I always try to go as far as I can in my academics.
