Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Caryce McGurn and I am 17 years old. I am 5'8" and 160 pounds. I have been playing softball since I was seven years old. I was born in Ohio and moved to Florida when I was 8. I don't mind the size of a school and I am open to may different options and opportunities.
I was the captain of my junior high school team my eighth grade year. My seventh grade year I worked very hard and was the starting pitcher for the junior high.
Education is very important to me because I believe that without an education you will not go far in life. Also, an education is key to a good job which leads to a better life. I love to face new challenges because I'm not afraid to fail and it pushes me to go outside my comfort zone and experience new things.

The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
