Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Taylor Todd, I started playing softball at age 7 and it was then that my travel ball coach saw something in me and picked me up for his 10U team. After that I was hooked and haven’t stopped playing, since Coach Barron (my travel ball coach) and my parents have taught me to never give up, and attitude is everything. Since then, I continue to work hard and drive myself to be the best competitor that I can be.
As being one of three freshmen on my varsity high school team and the starting center-fielder, I have had to work hard and show that I deserve being there. Especially, since my step-dad is one of the assistant coaches and people assume that I’m there just, because of that reason. I work hard every day to improve myself and learn from my mistakes, and I never give up.
I understand that to achieve my goals in softball and college that I must first focus on school. My school work always comes first and I work extra hard on it, I will continue to work hard on school. I would love to play softball in college and get a degree in Law Enforcement. After my schooling is complete I plan on applying to the FBI, after speaking with certain individuals through my parents I've learned there are quite a few opportunities for females within the FBI.
Thank you so much for your time!
