Julia Sheley '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julia Sheley and I’m a class of 2017 catcher. I have played for some of the best organizations in the south- EC Bullets two years ago, I played for the 97 Birmingham Vipers, last year. Now I am playing for Southern Force 18u Gold. I have been been told and I believe that I am very coachable and willing to work hard to be the best at my position. I have had two hitting/catching coaches over the last few years, Cj Evans and Kristina Hilbreth. Cj was the catching and hitting coach for UVA for five years. Kristina was the world series catcher for the Florida Gators a few years ago. Because of this high level instruction, I am a very fundamentally sound catcher and hitter.  I am also a very athletic catcher behind the plate. I am looking for the right college both in terms of softball and academics and am willing to look anywhere in the country to find the right fit.
