I fell in love with softball as a five year old t-ball player. Since that time, I have spent as much time as possible on the playing field. I began playing travel ball with the West GA Mystics at age 10 and still play with the same team. I have had opportunities to play with other more "prominent" teams such as the East Cobb Bullets, but I love my softball family and I am sad to think that this will be my last season with them this Spring.
For the past three years I have played around 160 games per year, counting High School and Travel ball. On the weekends my team isn't playing, I pick up with other teams. My Mom says she doesn't understand how I can love it so much. I remember getting into the car early one morning after playing eight games in a day and exclaiming, "Man, wish I could have played one more!" Even though she doesn't understand, she and my dad are behind me 100%. It is my ultimate goal to fulfill my biggest dream by playing college softball.
As a team leader for my high school softball team, I work hard to have a good attitude on and off the field. I feel it is important to be a good role model. My Coach often refers to me as "a coaches dream." I am very proud to own that title.
I aspire to be either in the field of Sports Medicine or Physical Therapy. I have researched these careers through my Health Occupations class and the GACollege411 website. Whatever career I choose, I just hope and pray that God allows me to play softball. If he does, I will put forth 100% effort on the field and in the classroom.
Also, since I don't see anywhere to list my stats. I will share that bit of information as well. As a starting pitcher for my high school team this Fall I pitched 130 innings, threw 128 strikes, had 13 wins and my ERA was 1.82. As a hitter, I had 14 RBI's, 10 Runs, 25 hits, and 3 home runs. (It was actually 5, but my coach didn't count two HR's I hit in tournaments just prior to the season opening)
