Personal Statement

Alishia is a senior who attends Commerce High School located in Commerce, GA. She has been in the Commerce School System for a total of twelve years now and developed a positive reputation throughout her years at Commerce both in the classroom and on the field.

Many teachers report that Alishia is a joy to have in their classrooms because she has wonderful attributes that she portrays inside and outside of the classroom. Alishia's continual willingness to work hard, is a positive trait in which many students do not obtain. Her determined mind-set, dependability, and compassionate ways are impeccable traits that make teachers wish more students cared about their schoolwork and future as much as she does.

Alishia has been playing recreation, school and travel ball since the age of five. She was the starting pitcher for Commerce Middle School for three years, in which the first and second year their team had only one loss, while in her third year there were no losses on her team. During the tournaments, Alishia's team won each of the of the games at the end of each year, and because of their hard work, Commerce Middle School had their first three Region 8-A League Championships.

Alishia played middle school and junior varsity softball her eight grade year. She was the starting second baseman her freshman year and the starting pitcher the last three years for the varsity team.

While Alishia loved softball, she thought it would be a good idea to try another sport as well to broaden her abilities. While basketball was fun and she was great at the sport, Alishia felt as though juggling sports was not best suited for her. Because of this decision she only participates in softball and dedicates the best parts of herself to each of her teams.

Alishia has many goals for her future, but her main priority is to continue to work as hard as possible both in the classroom and on the field, so she can be the best student-athlete that can be achieved.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
