Personal Statement
Since I was just a little girl I have always found comfort on the softball field. It has been a happy place, somewhere where everything around me just seems to temporarily fade away. I fell in love with the game at a young age and don't want my time playing to end here. I want to pursue a softball career past high school and not just represent my school as a student, but as a student athlete.
On and off the field I lead by actions and possess a knowledge of the game helps to improve my game as a whole. I am tall and strong which brings more power not just to my bat, but to my arm in the field. I am passionate about the game and have a competitive and determined spirit.
The one things that sets me apart from other athletes is my determination on the field and my will to do all I can to win, but that I have the ability to lighten any mood and completely change the tone of the game with just one action or comment. I can be serious when necessary, but at the same time I can make the most of every situation and do what I can to make it fun.
Academically I differ from most athletes because I come from a college preparatory private school where they expect excellence in all areas. I have had classes and teachers that make sure I am prepared for college. I am confident that I have been properly prepared to succeed in college.
