Personal Statement
My goals are to attend a great college that has a strong sports medicine/therapy/training program where I can continue my passion to play softball. I have been playing softball and basketball since I was five years old. I made the decision several years ago to concentrate on softball and play at the highest level I can. I have played for the Atlanta Vipers and East Cobb Bullets, and before that played up a year on the Midway Miss Stix. I have loved all the teams that I have been with and continue to stay friends with the players on those teams. I made the decision to play for Team GA last year where I could continue to concentrate on developing as a starting shortstop and second base infielder. I am well rounded and involved in mission trips, leadership opportunities (High School Ambassador, Bible 101 Leadership Council, FCA), participate on the school Mock Trial Team, and play drums and guitar. I am hoping to attend a school that is like a similar culture to Greater Atlanta Christian, but I am open to other schools that might be a great fit. I am a strong student and came in at a 3.7 for my first year of high school, a 4.0 my sophomore year of high school (private school), and I am tracking at a 3.9 in the middle of my junior year. My grades and school performance are very important to me, and I strive to continue doing well in high school. What makes me different is that I am well rounded as a student and as a player. I have caught, played outfield, and played other sports. Playing Varsity Basketball at my school has allowed me to develop my muscles and sports abilities in other areas like speed which will also help me in softball. I am very mission and service oriented and make the time to continue to be a leader. All these skills and experiences help to make me a strong, contributing teammate to a college softball program.
