Paige Owens '18 Recruiting Profile

My goal  in life is to be successful. I believe that a goal without a plan is just a wish. I will do what ever it takes to become the best student, athlete, teammate, and daughter I can be. Sports run highly throughout my family, baseball to cheerleading to football and track , but I fell in love with a different sport...Softball. Softball has grown to become a passion of mine , and also a huge part of my life as well as my parents and family members around me.  I think I am a good candidate for majority of teams, because I can bring leadership , showing I care , and motivation to a team. All players are not the  same what's so ever ,but I believe I can be very beneficial to a team . I think my speed and ability to put the ball in play are major impacts on me and my team. When I get on base I'm more likely to steal or make it very hard to get me out. My goal when I'm on base is to get home and get that one point for my team that could make or break a game. I hit in the 4 hole or maybe even lead off sometimes where ever I am in the line up I just do my job.  I enjoy making new friends and creating new bonds and playing softball you meet people from all over and I love it. I also believe when I touch the field I become a whole new person. I'm more aggressive, I'm loud for my team of course, and I'm my team's number one fan always. Off the field I'm all about the books.  I understand that I am a STUDENT-athlete and the student part comes first. I average a 3.7 GPA and I plan for that to sky rocket into a 4.0 or higher before I graduate. I have integrity, a high moral standard, and a strong mental & physical discipline, and  I'm looking forward to see what new piece of a family I become.
