Tia Takasaki '18 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my life, I was always involved in the game of softball, which has played a huge part contributing and shaping me into the person I am today.  As a little girl I envisioned myself becoming a collegiate softball player one day.  I set many goals for myself and one was to earn an athletic scholarship playing and doing what I love and I hope to one day fulfill that goal.  I have observed all kinds of talent in many different girls from all over the world, which has driven my determination to push my talent to the next level.  

In the classroom, I push myself just as hard in my academics as I do in athletics.  I apply this work ethic academically by striving to maintain a 4.0 GPA.  On the field I hope to be as versatile and dynamic of a player as I can be and a positive influence toward others.  I will push pass my limits to be an asset to the team and bring out the inner beast in me.  Softball became a passion for me.  I felt a strong connection to the sport and gave my all no matter what condition I was in.  I grew as a player and am only going to grow more as I carry into my college years.  Physically and mentally I have prepared myself and am looking forward to many other opportunities that will take me further as a player.

I am interested in attending many different schools, but am open to any softball program that gives me an opportunity to show what I have to offer.  I have a great work ethic, never afraid to work hard to get the job done.  I will do everything it takes to reach my goals and dreams.  I am looking forward to the many challenges that will change me as a person stepping into college life.  I will stay true to my determined, selfless, competitive demeanor knowing no one can stop me.
