Ghenniel Vegas '16 Recruiting Profile

Aloha Mai Kakou my name is Ghenniel Vegas and I am currently a junior at Damien Memorial School. My goal in college is to obtain a degree in a career field that I am interested in. I also enjoy playing softball at the collegiate level.  Personally, I want to be the first in my family to establish the foundation of higher education and emulate the importance of a college education. I believe as a team member I push others to do their absolute best and encourage them to never give up on themselves. I feel that I am very helpful and contribute as much as I possibly can. Since I’ve been playing softball for the past five years, I feel that I’ve pushed myself to thrive and grow everyday. I am a very well-rounded student which means that I am a student in the classroom and athlete on the field. I take into consideration how important my academics and earning a college degree is a priority.  I’ve learned to balance school and sports and never allowed others to cloud my judgement when it comes to important things such as my academics.
