Personal Statement
As a military child I have been blessed to live in multiple countries and states, I have had the opportunity to develop resillience and learned how to adapt to changing communities, schools, and friends regularly. However, no matter where I have lived, the love and support of my family, my faith, and my passion for softball has remained a constant.
While living in Germany I had the honor and privilege to represent the country of Germany as a pitcher and SS for their Little League All-Stars team two years in a row. Living among and playing against teams from Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Amsterdam to name a few was just absolutely amazing. As a freshman in Osan, Korea I was the starting varsity pitcher who became the MVP of 2014 FarEast Tournament and I was awarded the Stars & Stripes Award. Our teams performance that year led to winning its first softball championship in its 14 year school history. My freshman year allowed me to build a foundation both athletically and academically. My experience in 2014 taught me to overcome adversity and instilled in me a desire to continue playing softball for years to come.
In order to increase my opportunities to play college softball, I have continued to improve my game and developed skills not only as a pitcher, but as an infielder (2B), outfielder, and hitter as well. As I move into this next season of life and have the opportunity to play college softball, it is my goal to continue to develop new skills and hone the ones I have. I intend to remain disciplined and committed to my sport and academics to ensure I'm successful in college and beyond.
