Maryssa Santi '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'7" Junior (class of 2014) from Nampa, Idaho. I attend Skyview High School and have been a starter on the Varsity since my Freshmen year. As a Freshmen and Sophomore, I played 2nd base. After my team graduated our 2-time league MVP shortstop, I have been moved to Shortstop for my Junior year. Currently, I am taking 17 AP/concurrent college credits and have maintained my 4.0 GPA. My softball career started at the age of 7 with coach pitch. At the age of 10 I joined my first travel softball team -- the Idaho Diamond Bandits and have been playing travel softball ever since. As a little girl I remember my dad telling me, "it doesn't matter where you play, it matters where you hit." This has stayed with me ever since. I am willing to play any position, and I am a very coachable player. I will do anything to help my team win.
