Growing up I have always dreamed of playing softball at the collegiate level. I fully understand that playing at an elite level like this takes full commitment and dedication. I have played traveling softball since the age of 10 and each year I realize that the competition gets harder. Working hard in the offseason is important to me because I know that my competition is also working hard to beat me. Softball is not just a game to me, it is more like a lifestyle. As soon as I tie my cleats my mind is on nothing but preparing myself for my game.
My team is like my second family and I will always put them ahead of anything else. I would do anything to help a teammate out no matter if it is with class work or with softball. I believe that in order to be successful you need every member of the team on the same page working toward the same goal. Everyone has to be willing to give it their all and make sacrifices if need be. I am ready to face the challenges that I will face at the collegiate level. I am ready to create a bond with my teammates and put in the work to be as successful as we could possibly be.
Although softball is my passion I realize my education is just as important. I understand that in order to succeed on the field I have to be committed to school. Throughout my high school career I have been a multi-sport athlete and have been able to also be successful in the classroom. I am looking forward to continuing my dedication to both school and softball at the next level.
