Shannon Ohalloran '15 Recruiting Profile

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." That quote is written in my Stone City Sharks hat (yes we wear hats) and that quote has been my motivation every single time I take the field, as well as in my life. I'm a 5-foot-8 infielder/outfielder from Channahon, Illinois. I will graduate on the honor roll all four years from Minooka High School in 2015. I have been playing softball since 5th grade and I have won numerous individual awards and accolades, including various team leadership and most valuable player awards. Yet, what I take my greatest pride over my career in is being a good teammate, a good person and a good friend. I'm looking for a chance. I'm pretty open when it comes to my recruiting. I want to find a school where I can be part of a team and a place where I fit in and feel like part of the family. I want to earn a great education, graduate and also be a positive influence to both my school and my team. I'm considering majoring in education or public relations. Academics are also very important and I'm looking for a great mix of athletics and academics, regardless of the size of the school. My dream has always been to play at the college level. I also dream of earning a degree and also giving back to the sport of softball. I would also love to coach softball someday.
