Personal Statement
It has always been a dream of mine to play college softball. I believe my work ethic and dedication to the classroom and athletics is what sets me apart from other candidates.
In 2014 I was privileged to be Peoria Christian Middle School’s nominee for the IESA Scholar Attitude Award. The IESA Scholar Attitude Award recognizes the academic success, activity participation, and community involvement in one student of IESA schools. Also in 2014 I was honored to be presented at graduation with Peoria Christian Middle School’s “Walking Worthy Award”. The graduating class, teachers and administration vote for which student they believe walks according to Colossians 1:10, “so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God”
I am a 3 sport athlete and have always made it a priority to do well with my schoolwork while balancing athletics at the same time. I am disciplined in the saying, “The way you practice is the way you play.” I make it a goal to practice and play with maximum effort and a positive attitude, while displaying humility, showing respect to coaches, officials, other teams, and being encouraging to teammates. I value teamwork and working together. I believe what I learn from my teammates and the trials & successes we go through together can benefit me and make me a stronger player.
