I have been playing softball since I was only 4 years old. I was never the one in my family to complain about going to practice because I love it with all my heart. As I got older I realized that one of my biggest dreams in life is to play college level softball. I still have not decided on what I would like to major in, but right now being in high school, I’m focusing mostly on my school work and improving my softball skills. I do many things to help out younger kids as much as I can, whether it’s with their school work or a sport that they like. Not only softball, but sports in general have helped shape the person who I am today. What makes me different from other candidates is, I can learn from my mistakes and improve. I will always give my best at what I’m doing and will never quit. Sports have taught me to be hardworking, dedicated, and it has taught me many life lessons such as, even when you’re down you can always get back up all you have to do is put the heart and the effort into it. Also i learned that you don’t just get things handed to you, if you want good results then you have to put the work in. Last but not least, softball taught me that when you step out onto either a softball field, a basketball court, or even a volleyball court that could be the first and the last time someone will ever see you play, what type of impression do you want to leave? Thank you for taking time to read my statement.
